My writing life spans many facets of the publishing industry and the art and craft of writing. To date, I have written and published five books. I have two more in the works - West Hill and We Are Not the Fischers.
I am the editor and publisher of my micro publishing house Two Wolves Press. I teach writing courses at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies Creative Writing Program.
I also work as a freelance writer. I have written book reviews for the Globe and Mail, articles for Shift Magazine, Enroute, and many others, I was a sports columnist for Toro Magazine, and the managing editor of Write Magazine. I studied Journalism at Ryerson University and Drama at the Toronto High School for the Performing Arts.
My freelance editing work includes many substantive edits of clients manuscripts, coaching clients to complete manuscripts, and books that I have published through my press, including Catherine Graham's award winning novel Quarry and Aileen Santos critically acclaimed novel Someone Like You. I edited, highly regarded, Dr. Maureena Fritz's non-fiction book Daughter of a Voice.
I have taught and mentored many students who have gone on to be published, like Ann Y.K. Choi author of Kay's Lucky Coin Variety published by Simon and Schuster, and other's who decided to self publish and have done very well.
Mentoring public school,and high school students in English is also something I do, and mentoring University students with essay writing.
